The office by the sea is what many employees who work far from the coast dream of. And our employees at the House of Code are now able to work in an office like that.
New Year’s resolutions are sometimes a pure projection of unrealistic expectations and empty dreams. But for the year ahead, we’ve set realistic plans in the form of new benefits for our employees. For instance, our plan about offices on the Adriatic coast is slowly becoming a reality. The first phase of preparations for the new office has already begun, the location has been selected, and the first employee to work outside Zagreb has been hired.
The office with a sea view is what many employees who work far from the coast dream of. And our employees at the House of Code are now able to work in an office like that. Therefore we are happy to announce that we are starting to work in our new place in Umag.
With new employees from the area of Umag, all our developers working in the Zagreb office will be able to work in our new office by the sea.
We took advantage of the benefits that “working from home” offers and decided to take it to another level. So we made a Home-Office at the seaside, in the Garden Palace Resort hotel in Umag.
Work, sleep & enjoy the sea
For the “work from home” to get the full meaning of the phrase, we provided accommodation in a three-room apartment at the same location. In addition to three bedrooms, it also has a living room, kitchen, three bathrooms, and a dining room (that has been converted into a study room). So our employees can feel just like at home.
The routine of working from home here is not limited to staying on the couch – desk path, as it usually is. But when they get bored of indoor work and crave the sun, fresh air, and the smell of pine trees, for example, they can move to the terrace with an unbeatable view, and work by the pool enjoying a delicious drink.
When they want to relax away from the computer after working hours, except on the beach, they can swim in the pool located within the building.
Great location
Garden Palace Resort is located in a great location and is located by the main city promenade where you can also enjoy running, long walks, or rollerblading. A children’s park and a recreational park are also located on the promenade. The main city beach is only 1 km away, and the famous Stella Maris sports center is only 1.5 km from the resort.
